This year's DGN Alumni Band performance at Homecoming will take place on Friday, September 29, 2023. 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE is Friday, September 8, 2023. 

NOTE: To be guaranteed a new t-shirt or sweatshirt, you must register by Friday, September 1.

Join us in honoring Brayer Teague's retirement from DGN!

Come one, come all! Join us for an afternoon of music and celebration as we honor Brayer Teague's retirement from DGN! Watch Brayer conduct an ensemble of alumni, friends, and DGN students through a beautiful, powerful, and meaningful set of music, including a new piece composed by Jermaine Stegall, commissioned in Brayer's honor. This will be an afternoon you won't soon forget!

Homecoming 2022: DGN Trojan Marching Band with Record-Setting Alumni Band

Congratulations to the members of the 2022-23 Trojan Marching Band, Athenas and the DGN Alumni Band for a terrific performance this weekend at Homecoming! 350 instrumentalists and dancers provided captivated the Trojan faithful during DGN's 2022 Homecoming football game performances.

Special appreciation is extended to the members of the members of the 2022 DGN Alumni Band, who came out in force this year! A record breaking 150+ alumni performed (and reminisced) while on campus. 

Congratulations to senior Trojan Marching Band members Cameron Hejny and Angela Perez- Gomez for their selection to the Homecoming Court!

Appreciation is extended to the volunteers who provided the Marching Band with water during the game, sold merchandise at the DGN-FOFA table, and photographed the band's performances.

I didn't register in time!! Now what?!

To: Any and all DGN Band alumni that will be back in town for Homecoming, but missed the Registration Deadline to perform with the Alumni Band …

• We are so glad you want to come back! 

• Because of the unprecedented turnout, we have no more instruments to loan, and cannot add any more performers to the field at this time.

• You are welcome to attend the game, and sit with the Alumni in the stands. Wear your Alumni Band shirt (if you have one) or anything with school colors. (Because you are not performing with the Alumni Band, you will be responsible for purchasing a ticket into the game.)

• Cheer on the DGN Trojan Marching Band and Alumni Band loudly during Pre-Game and Halftime performances!

• You are invited down to the track during Post-Game to sing the Alma Mater with everyone, and to parade back to the Field House with the group.

• You are invited to sing with us at the Field House during dismissal.

• Please join us to be a part of the Alumni Band group photo on the 50 yard line, following dismissal.

• You are warmly invited to PRE REGISTER for the Post-Game Social at Emmett's Brewing Company. We would love to see you there! Registration Deadline is Monday, September 19.

My goodness there's a lot of you... This year's alumni band experience will surely be one for the history books!

Please find attached a link to an informational letter that contains all of the information for the evening. Given the very large turnout this year, it is very important that you read it all. There are a few changes to past practice to accommodate the large numbers, as well as information about payment upon arriving at DGN.

Last Chance to Register for Alumni Band 2022!

Today is the FINAL DAY to register for Alumni Band! Spread the word - we are up to a record-smashing 118 members. A massive turn-out! You won't want to miss it. Today is your LAST DAY to register for participation in the 2022 Alumni Band! (Please note, we are no longer able to process orders for Alumni Band shirts, but alumni may still participate wearing anything school colors!) This year's DGN Alumni Band performance at Homecoming will take place on Friday, September 23, 2022. Post-Game Social for DGN Alumni Band!

Due to an extremely robust turn-out this year, we have organized a special Post-Game Social to be held in the “Founders Room” of Emmett’s Brewing Company in downtown Downers Grove. The event will run from 10 PM - midnight, Friday, September 23, 2022. 

If you wish to attend, we need you to PRE-REGISTER for the reception. Please go HERE, or click on the image above, and register now! 

The Pre-Registration Due Date is Monday, September 19, at 11:59 PM.

Every person in attendance will be required to purchase one of two food/beverage packages:

Purple Package (21+): $26 / person. Open bar service (including Emmett’s Handcrafted Beers, Domestic Beers, Imported Beers, House Wines, Soft Drinks & Water), Vegetable Crudite, Chicken Tenders, and Pork Pot Stickers. Cost includes service gratuities. Wrist-bands will be provided to you at check-in, and you must wear the wrist-band to be served alcohol. 

White Package: $10 / person. Vegetable Crudite, Chicken Tenders, and Pork Pot Stickers. Soft Drinks & Water. Cost includes service gratuities.

+1's are invited to attend, but must be Pre-Registered through this form, and must pay for one of the two packages.

Payment will be collected at CHECK-IN, when you arrive for Homecoming. We will accept cash, personal check (made payable to DGN BANDS), or Venmo. (Venmo instructions will be shared at check-in.) 

As of September 1st, we have 106 alumni registered for Alumni Band 2022, doubling our previous attendance record! We are very much looking forward to welcoming you back to campus. 

Additional details, and a final schedule for the event will be shared with participants on Monday, September 12.

Final Day to Register for Alumni Band Apparel!

Today is the LAST DAY to register for Alumni Band and place an order for an Alumni Band t-shirt and/or sweatshirt. The order will be sent out for distribution by the end of this week. Any registrations after today will not be able to order a t-shirt or sweatshirt.

You have ONE WEEK left to register for Alumni Band! Spread the word - we're closing in on 100 members of the Alumni Band this year! A massive turn-out! You won't want to miss it.

We have alumni traveling from as far away as California, New York, Tennessee, and Texas to make music with us. So, what are YOU waiting for? Contact your classmates to exert peer-pressure, twist some arms, and let's make it happen!
